Frequently asked
Why are there two numbers?
Your potential is the best the day can still reach. It starts at 100 and only falls when time slips, a goal is missed or a habit breaks. Your score is what you've earned so far. It starts at 0 and climbs as you work, train and keep your habits. Log your bed time and the two meet: that's your score for the day.
Why did my score change when I logged downtime?
Your focus is measured against the free time you actually had. Logging a shift, a class or a commute shrinks your free time, so the hours you've already put in are worth more, and your score is recalculated. Going to bed later than planned works the other way. Every change shows up in your log with how much it moved.
Can my score go above 100?
Yes. Full credit for focus is 50 minutes of every free hour. Keep going past that and you earn bonus points, up to 112 on a perfect day. Your potential shows how much bonus time is still on the table.
What if I barely had any free time?
You're never punished for a day you couldn't work. With 30 minutes of free time or less, you get full credit for focus automatically. Above that, the time you need rises a minute for every extra free minute, until it meets the usual 50 minutes an hour at 3 hours free. A day with under an hour of free time is flagged and doesn't count on the leaderboards, since it's scored on too small a window to compare.
How do I change my wake-up or bed-time targets?
Profile → your settings — a change there takes effect from the next day, since a day already in progress is always scored under the settings it started with. To change just today, use the one-off "Change today" option on the Log tab.
Does Ironclad work across multiple devices?
Yes, once you create an account. Everything also works fully offline and on a single device with no account at all — your data then just stays on that device.
Who can see my logs?
Nobody but you, ever. Your score does count toward the leaderboards — a connected friend always sees your display name, avatar and a percentage; a stranger on the global board sees a random alias and a generic avatar in their place unless you choose to show your real name and photo (Profile → Leaderboard). Nobody ever sees your raw scores, or the labels you wrote for your own goals and penalties.
How do I report or block someone?
From the Leaderboards tab, use "Report" or "Block" next to a friend in Manage, or tap anyone on the Global board to report them. We review every report, usually within 24 hours. Blocking removes them as a friend immediately and stops them adding you again; they're never told you did it. See the Community Guidelines.
How do I delete my account?
See Account and data deletion for the exact steps.
